Co-founders Madhav Aggarwal and Tanvi Gadamsetti built an advanced materials company out of a college apartment and are moving it to Detroit. BRCĒ engineers mechanically programmed fiber and textile architectures for footwear, apparel, outdoor gear and protective applications. Its patented polymer composite grips directionally at the yarn level, first commercialized as athletic laces that maintain consistent tension through movement. Both founders were athletes whose careers ended after preventable injuries. They won the 2026 Rice Business Plan Competition and closed a two-investor deal on ABC’s Shark Tank. Aggarwal is CEO and Gadamsetti is COO. ID Ventures is an investor, alongside Oregon Sports Angels, the University Hospitals Haslam Sports Innovation Center and the Michigan Outdoor Innovation Fund.
